Been a year...So much has changed.

OK, I start with a apology to myself, to blog land, to anyone that is reading. I am absolutely terrible at keeping a blog, I forget to write new posts, I forget I even created it, and for that I am sorry.

So here goes...Try again! Ha ha....We'll see...

I am really excited to tell you all about some wonderful coloring classes I have come across recently. They are run by a wonderful lady called Alyce who is officially Copic Certified, and they focus on different aspects of coloring. The value of these classes in incredible! Head on over to http://kitandclowder.ning.com/ and take a look for yourselves, I'm sure you will be itching to take one of the classes, I know I was.

I was lucky enough to have a wonderful Aunt and Uncle who bought me one of the classes as a surprise gift! So I have now enrolled on the Skin and Hair coloring class, and I am super excited to get started.

The very first thing to do is to start with a 'before' image, this way you can colour the same image when you have finished all the lessons and see your progress. Here is mine:

I'm off to get started...See you all soon.

Oops...

Well,

It would seem that I have neglected blog-land yet again, and this time for a whole year! I am uber ashamed. But hey, I am not an organised person at all!

I'm popping in to post one of my many Christmas cards and enter it into the JellyPark challenge.

Here is the card:

The challenge was 'Winter animals'

I have been trying my hand at new things in the past year, one of those things is cake making/decorating. I made birthday cakes for my children what do you think?

Anyhow, things to do, people to see as they say, I won't promise to update soon because I probably won't!

Wow...2012, where did that come from?

Hello everyone in crafting land, and Happy new year!

I really have let the ball drop with this blog at them moment, when I started it, I did state that I probably wouldn't update regularly, but this really is taking the monkey!
So sorry...

I just wanted to pop in and let you all know, I am crafting as usual, and my life has been mental the past few months!, As you all know I got married in July, (...eeps!!) I made all my own invites and thank-you cards, so that took A LOT of time, I then made a 'babie's 1st year' mini album (I say mini. it was 8" x 8" and seriously bulky by the time I had finished...) For my neice's 1st birthday. I will upload pictures with my next post I promise!

And finally, I got well and truly bitten by the christmas crafting bug! Oh lordy did I give myself a lot to do! I had christmas cards, 12 crackers, advent tree decorations, 2 advent drawer boxes (1 of them was HUGE!) And as if I hadn't given myself enough to do, I thought I would make a 3D star wreath as well.

Phew....

I promise it will not be that long before I update again! ...

Goals for the new year:
  • Resume scrapbooking!
  • Update blog regularly.
  • Enter more craft competitons.
  • Eat less bad food and lose weight! (Okay, I may be kidding myself there :-p)

Adios amigos!

Been a while...

Oops I think I may have been away a while again, I have been crafting, I'm just super busy at the moment, I'm getting married in 11 weeks and I haven't even made the wedding invites never mind sent them! Oh well all will be done.

Anywhoo enough waffling, I am actually here to show you the three cards I have made this week.

Number 1:

My first ever attempt at a slider card, it doesn't slide as smoothly as I'd like it to, but I am reasonably happy with it!

I am entering this card into the following competitions:

Number 2:

My first attempt at a shaker card (Ooohhh alot of firsts going on here!) Even though a couple of buttons have stuck, I am really pleased with this card, a bit time consuming, but well worth the effort, I will definitely be having another go at this!

I am entering this competition:
 Number 3:

And finally, I inked up this cute little cheerleader and coloured her AGES ago and never found a use for her, but I finally made her into a cute little card.

I am entering this card into the following competitions:

Right well, that's me ready for a bit of TV and a chill out.

Night all.

Pink and brown...

Pink and brown have to be one my favourite colour combinations at the moment. I recently bought some new paper packs only to realise how similar they are, not only to each other, but to my other favourite packs! Oh well, gotta work with what ya love lol.

Anywhoo just a quick post to showcase my latest competition card. And here it is:

I used a sugar nellie image and the 'little princess' stamp is just perfect for it (although I can' remember where it came from sorry) She is coloured in my promarkers (Obviously!) and I used the 'sugar and spice' paper pack, off the top of my head I can't remember the brand, Dovecraft I think but I wouln't quote me on it!

I am entering this card into the following competitions:

Right, that's it for me, I'm off for some yummy BBQ food!

Bit of a mess!

Morning all!

(Yes I did just say MORNING lol) I thought I would pop in just to let you all know I am still around and I am still crafting. I'm just so bogged down with lots of stuff at the moment, I can't seem to find a moment to myself!

On a higher note, me and my other half are going to give notice of intent to marry this afternoon!...I am UBER excited! We are (fingers crossed) getting married on the 29th of July! Only a very small do, just immediate family and then a nice big party afterward for everyone else! So you can look forward to handmade invites etc.

On top of wedding plans I haven't been very well so I have been crashing quite early on an evening at the moment (hence no crafty posts) But I think I'm on the mend so hopefully normal crafting service will resume shortly :-)

I do have a project in the works though, my baby sister turned 20 last week and we had a big girly night out, so I thought as a gift I would do her a mini album with all the nice photos in it. I have everything I need, except the motivation to get started lol.

Well I think that's about all my news for the moment. Hopefully I will be able to update with a project and some pictures shortly.

Mother's day...

Hello everyone!

I hope you are all fine and dandy! I, myself am feeling rather chipper, despite the late hour and seemingly permanent lack of sleep!

I wanted to show you the mother's day card that I have been working on, it is finally finished, and BOY am I proud! Well here it is:

I used a stamped image from Wild Rose studios, and I coloured her with my promarkers (Geez I love those pens!)

I used another type of fold for this card, I scored down the center of the front of the card and then folded it back on itself, with the main image hanging over the edge I think the effect is wonderful!

I added a die-cut oval to the inside for my personal message, and when the card is closed flat, you can't see it.

I added some punched flowers just to finish the card off.

I am entering this card in the following competitions:

  • The shabby tea room - Challenge #55 'colour pallet' (funnily enough my eyes were drawn to the flowers on the table, hence the colours of my card!)
  • Papertake weekly - Sketch #54 (I turned the sketch on it's side, I hope it is clear enough...)
  • Colour create - Challenge #67 'Pastels'
  • CES Challenges - challenge #29 'Die-cut crazy'

I love this card sooooo much that I decided to make a purple version for my mother in law:

I also wanted to show you, the gift I have made for my mum, for mother's day:

(Ignore the grubby finger prints, it will be polished before I give it to her, I promise!)

The message says: 'There is no way to be a perfect mother, but a million ways to be an amazing one'
It really sums up how I feel about my mum!

Righteo, off to bed with myself! To try and sleep while my fella is at work....yea right!

Night all!
