Hello everyone!
I hope you are all fine and dandy! I, myself am feeling rather chipper, despite the late hour and seemingly permanent lack of sleep!
I wanted to show you the mother's day card that I have been working on, it is finally finished, and BOY am I proud! Well here it is:
I used a stamped image from Wild Rose studios, and I coloured her with my promarkers (Geez I love those pens!)
I used another type of fold for this card, I scored down the center of the front of the card and then folded it back on itself, with the main image hanging over the edge I think the effect is wonderful!
I added a die-cut oval to the inside for my personal message, and when the card is closed flat, you can't see it.
I added some punched flowers just to finish the card off.
I am entering this card in the following competitions:
The shabby tea room - Challenge #55 'colour pallet' (funnily enough my eyes were drawn to the flowers on the table, hence the colours of my card!)
Papertake weekly - Sketch #54 (I turned the sketch on it's side, I hope it is clear enough...)
- CES Challenges - challenge #29 'Die-cut crazy'
I love this card sooooo much that I decided to make a purple version for my mother in law:
I also wanted to show you, the gift I have made for my mum, for mother's day:
(Ignore the grubby finger prints, it will be polished before I give it to her, I promise!)
The message says: 'There is no way to be a perfect mother, but a million ways to be an amazing one'
It really sums up how I feel about my mum!
Righteo, off to bed with myself! To try and sleep while my fella is at work....yea right!
Night all!
Haley xx
